WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26) shared heartfelt words in response to Congresswoman Kay Granger's decision to step down as Chairwoman of the House Committee on Appropriations.

"Kay Granger is a giant amongst her peers. She is a mentor, a leader, a loyal friend and tough as nails, she is the ‘Titanian Texan’. The country is more secure, resilient and better off due to her selfless and tireless work as Chairwoman of the Appropriations Committee," expressed Congressman Díaz-Balart.

Expressing his anticipation for future collaborations, Díaz-Balart stated, "I look forward to continuing to work with her as she finishes her term in Congress." He further added, "I am blessed and honored to count Kay as not just a colleague and confidant, but as the best friend anyone could ever ask for."

In closing, the Congressman conveyed his gratitude to Granger, saying, "Thank you, Kay, you have left an indelible mark on our country and me and my family."
