Representatives Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26), María Elvira Salazar (FL-27), and Carlos A. Giménez (FL-28), along with Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Rick Scott (R-FL), today denounced the Biden Administration’s failure to designate Cuba as a "not fully cooperating country" (NFCC) with U.S. counterterrorism efforts.

Rep. Mario Díaz-Balart stated, "Once again, the Biden Administration has made a foreign policy blunder that undermines our national security interests. The feeble explanation for the refusal to designate the anti-American terrorist state of Cuba as a 'not fully cooperating country' is as misguided as the rest of its foreign policy approach."

Rep. María Elvira Salazar added, “This latest move is, without a doubt, another sign that the Biden Administration is paving the way to remove Cuba from the list of State Sponsors of Terror.”

Congressman Carlos Gimenez said, “President Biden’s latest pathetic concession to the murderous, terrorist Castro regime is not only unwarranted and misguided but dangerous for America’s national security.”

Senator Marco Rubio commented, “President Biden is making it abundantly clear he wants to remove the Cuban dictatorship from the list of state sponsors of terrorism."

Finally, Senator Rick Scott said, “Every time President Biden appeases the illegitimate, communist Cuban regime, he helps destabilize the Western Hemisphere, supports terrorism and does a huge favor for America’s enemies in Russia, Iran and Communist China."
