Representative Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26) will host a check presentation ceremony to mark the $2 million funding secured for the Doral Police Department's Communication and Police Radio Modernization Technology Project. The event is scheduled for Friday, May 31, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Doral Police Department.
The funding was allocated through the Consolidated Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2024, which was approved by Congress and signed by the President on March 9, 2024. The project aims to enhance community safety and improve law enforcement efficiency in Doral.
Attendees will include Rep. Mario Díaz-Balart, who serves as a senior member of the House Committee on Appropriations; Christi Fraga, Mayor of Doral; and Edwin Lopez, Chief of Police for the City of Doral.
