MIAMI, FL – Representative Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26) is inviting members of the media to attend a Father's Day Celebration in the Town of Medley. The event, scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., will feature a check presentation ceremony for $1.5 million in funding aimed at alleviating transportation issues and improving safety and mobility continuity in the area.
This funding was secured through the Consolidated Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2024, which Congress approved and the President signed on March 9, 2024.
Participants in the ceremony include:
- Rep. Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26), Senior Member of the House Committee on Appropriations
- Roberto Martell, Mayor of Medley
- Edgar Ayala, Vice Mayor of Medley
- Members of the Town of Medley Council
- J.C. Bermudez, Miami-Dade County Commissioner for District 12
