On November 22, 2024, Mario Díaz-Balart expressed his concern for the human rights leader José Daniel Ferrer. On November 23, 2024, Díaz-Balart commented on a political appointment by former President Donald Trump. He tweeted: "Fantastic choice by @realDonaldTrump. @RepLCD’s ability to connect with Americans from all walks of life demonstrates her lifelong commitment to prioritizing hardworking families first and strengthening American businesses. She will be an excellent Secretary of Labor."

Later that day, he congratulated Dr. Dave Weldon on his new role at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). His tweet read: "Congratulations to my colleague and former Representative, @DrDaveWeldon! Dr. Weldon is an excellent choice to lead the CDC. His leadership will bring accountability, restore trust, and ensure that Americans have access to essential public health resources and protections."
