Mario Díaz-Balart, a seasoned politician who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 26th District since 2003, recently shared his views and congratulations on social media. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1961 and currently residing in Miami, Díaz-Balart is an alumnus of the University of South Florida.

On November 26, 2024, Mario Díaz-Balart expressed his support for former President Trump's policies via a tweet. He stated that under Trump's leadership, there would be efforts to "Tackle inflation by cutting wasteful spending", secure borders, unleash American energy to lower costs and restore independence, and slash what he described as burdensome Biden-Harris regulations.

Later the same day, Díaz-Balart congratulated local leaders and emergency responders from Hialeah for their achievement.

In another post at the same time but in English, Díaz-Balart reiterated his congratulations to Hialeah officials: "Congratulations to @MayorBovo, the @PoliceHialeah, and all @cityofhialeah first responders on an incredible achievement—Hialeah is ranked the 2nd safest city in Florida! I'm honored to represent this amazing community."
