Today, Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart took the oath of office as he began his term for the 119th Congress. Representing Florida’s 26th Congressional District, Díaz-Balart emphasized his commitment to several key issues in a statement released after the ceremony.

"I am honored to represent the people of Florida’s 26th Congressional District," he stated. He highlighted his dedication to addressing spending and saving taxpayer dollars, securing borders, strengthening national defense, supporting military and law enforcement personnel, honoring veterans, promoting American energy independence, and protecting national security interests.

Díaz-Balart expressed optimism about working with President Trump and fellow legislators. "It is a new day in America," he said. "I look forward to working with President Trump and my colleagues to deliver results on the mandate entrusted to us by the American people.”
