Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart has been appointed as Vice Chair of the House Committee on Appropriations. In response to his new role, he expressed gratitude and outlined his priorities.
Rep. Díaz-Balart stated: "I am deeply honored to have been chosen to serve as Vice Chair of the House Committee on Appropriations. I am tremendously grateful to Chairman Tom Cole for his exceptional leadership, invaluable guidance, and unwavering support."
He acknowledged the shared experience with Chairman Cole, noting they were elected in the same class and have worked together on national security issues while focusing on reducing unnecessary expenditures.
"I remain committed to protecting taxpayer’s money while eliminating wasteful spending, prioritizing agencies and programs that protect our national security, defending U.S. values both at home and abroad, supporting our allies, countering our adversaries, and promoting freedom," added Rep. Díaz-Balart.
