Mario Díaz-Balart, a seasoned U.S. Congressman representing Florida's 26th District, recently shared his views on social media regarding national security and international relations. Having served in Congress since 2003, Díaz-Balart has been vocal about issues concerning the United States' position on global matters.

On January 24, 2025, Díaz-Balart celebrated the confirmation of John Ratcliffe as the new CIA Director. In his tweet, he stated: "Another win for the American people with the swift confirmation of our new CIA Director, my dear friend and former colleague, @JohnRatcliffe! John understands the growing national security threats our country faces from adversaries like Communist China, Russia, Iran, North…"

Two days later, on January 26, 2025, Díaz-Balart expressed concern over Colombian President Gustavo Petro's actions towards U.S.-Colombia relations.

Shortly after this post, he reiterated his warning in English: "As I warned on several occasions, President @petrogustavo is unnecessarily destroying the special relationship between Colombia and the United States. It is time for Petro to reconsider his stance toward the United States before the consequences become even more severe."
