Rep. Frederica Wilson, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida's 24th district, has recently shared her thoughts on significant issues through social media posts. On January 27, 2025, she marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day by honoring the memory of six million Jews and countless others who perished during the Holocaust. She urged unity in combating antisemitism and intolerance to prevent future atrocities: "Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we mourn and remember the six million Jews and countless others murdered in the Holocaust. May we unite to fight antisemitism, hatred, and intolerance, ensuring such atrocities are never repeated."
On January 28, 2025, Rep. Wilson expressed concern over an unspecified act she described as illegal that would increase costs for families. She emphasized that Congress had authorized funds that must be delivered to avoid negative impacts on housing, healthcare, and agriculture: "Let’s be clear: this act is illegal and will only raise costs for everyday families. Congress has authorized these funds, and they must be delivered. Cutting funding for housing, healthcare, and farmers will only raise rent, skyrocket medical bills, and hike grocery prices."
In another post on the same day, Rep. Wilson criticized Republicans for what she termed a reckless scheme to withhold federal funding from essential services like farming support and community health centers: "Republicans are orchestrating a reckless and unlawful scheme to choke off virtually all federal funding from basic services. Whether that funding is going to our farmers, our transit system, our students, our community health centers or our non-profits it’s all on hold."
