Mario Díaz-Balart, a longstanding U.S. Congressman representing Florida's 26th District since 2003, has taken to social media to express solidarity with the Venezuelan people. In a series of tweets, Díaz-Balart shared statements made in conjunction with fellow representatives Carlos Giménez and Maria Elvira Salazar.
On January 29, 2025, Díaz-Balart tweeted: "Díaz-Balart, Giménez, and Salazar stand in solidarity with the Venezuelan people. Joint statement below 'President Trump has shown steadfast and unwavering solidarity with the Venezuelan people, including by protecting those fleeing oppression, supporting the courageous…'"

In another tweet posted shortly thereafter on January 29, 2025, Díaz-Balart reiterated his message in Spanish: "Díaz-Balart, Giménez y Salazar se solidarizan con el pueblo venezolano. Lea la declaracíon conjunta aqui 'El presidente Trump ha mostrado una solidaridad firme e inquebrantable con el pueblo venezolano, incluyendo la protección de aquellos que huyen de la opresión, el apoyo…'"
