On January 30, 2025, Rep. Wilson emphasized the foundational purpose of public schools to educate all individuals, regardless of their abilities or circumstances. She stated, "Public schools were founded to educate EVERYONE: The gifted The disabled The wheelchair-bound The mentally challenged The sick The shut-in The orphaned The ungovernable EVERYONE!"
In a subsequent tweet posted on the same day, she urged continued support for public education by stating, "I IMPLORE YOU: DO NOT STOP SUPPORTING OUR WONDERFUL PUBLIC SCHOOLS."
Later that day, Rep. Wilson addressed the importance of empathetic leadership following tragic events. Referring to a recent airline crash that resulted in 67 fatalities, she expressed her expectations for presidential conduct during such crises: "We should all expect our President to lead us with sympathy and compassion during a monumental tragedy such as a fatal airline crash that claimed 67 lives."
