Frederica Wilson, a current U.S. Congress representative for Florida’s 24th district since 2011, has expressed her views on several pressing national issues through a series of tweets. Her comments address concerns about the future of the U.S. Department of Education and alleged governmental overreach.

On February 18, 2025, Wilson emphasized the importance of the U.S. Department of Education by stating that its closure would negatively impact vulnerable students: "The U.S. Department of Education is crucial for the future of ALL our students. Closing it would hurt our most vulnerable students. We must protect the U.S. Department of Education!"

Later that day, she raised alarms regarding President Elon Musk's administration and their actions: "President Elon Musk and the entire White House are taking control of the government in an unconstitutional power grab. And Congressional Republicans are no where to be found, giving up their power to the White House." She urged Republicans to denounce these moves.

Continuing her critique on February 19, 2025, Wilson accused Elon Musk of infringing on citizens' privacy through IRS data access: "Elon Musk is invading YOUR private data through the IRS, and Republicans are staying silent." She called for legislative action against such invasions and highlighted the need for bipartisan support.
