The representatives Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26), Carlos A. Giménez (FL-28), and María Elvira Salazar (FL-27) issued a statement regarding President Donald J. Trump's decision to end what they describe as the "pathetic bailout" of Nicolás Maduro's regime by the Biden-Harris Administration, effectively cutting off its oil lifeline.

"When it comes to defending the cause of freedom in illegitimate regimes like Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua, there is no greater ally than President Donald J. Trump," they stated. "President Trump is keeping his promise. The days of appeasing regimes hostile to America are over, as are supporting dictators at the expense of our national security interests."

The statement highlights that within his first 100 days in office, President Trump has emphasized U.S. prosperity and national security as priorities. His foreign policy focuses on enhancing stability, security, and prosperity both domestically and in the Western Hemisphere by addressing mutual priorities. An example provided is the reinstatement of a strong U.S. policy towards Cuba by placing it back on the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism and reestablishing restrictions on financial transactions with the Cuban military.

"President Trump demonstrates once again true American leadership, something that was evidently lacking in the past four years," they continued. "No other president since Ronald Reagan has shown such unwavering solidarity against tyranny while supporting those who fight for freedom under oppression."

They concluded their remarks by commending President Trump for his principled clarity and decisive action: "We congratulate President Trump for his clarity of principles, his swift and decisive action on this issue, and for keeping his promise. We look forward to continuing this important work with President Donald J. Trump."
