Washington, D.C. – Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26), Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs of the House Committee on Appropriations, expressed his support for a series of critical security supplemental bills in a recent statement.
"As Chairman of the subcommittee that provides funds for national security and foreign assistance priorities, I am proud to be an original cosponsor of these important pieces of legislation," stated Congressman Díaz-Balart.
Highlighting the threats posed by countries like communist China, Russia, and Iran, Congressman Díaz-Balart emphasized the necessity of fully funding security commitments to allies such as Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan. He noted that these nations are facing challenges from regimes that are anti-American.
The Congressman stressed that the passage of the security legislation would not only support U.S. interests in various regions but also enhance national security by bolstering the military. He added, "There is nothing our adversaries would love more than for the United States to fail to stand with our friends in their time of greatest need. We have no time to spare. Passage of this aid package is critical."
The bills in question aim to address security concerns in the Middle East, Europe, and the Indo-Pacific, ultimately ensuring the safety of the United States and its allies.
