Representative Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26) will host a check presentation ceremony for the City of Hialeah Police Department's vehicle fleet revitalization. The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. and will celebrate the allocation of $2.59 million in funding secured to replace 50 marked vehicles in the police fleet and upgrade their technology.
The funding was obtained through the Consolidated Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2024, which Congress approved and the President signed on March 9, 2024.
The ceremony will feature Rep. Mario Díaz-Balart, a senior member of the House Committee on Appropriations, and Esteban Bovo, Mayor of Hialeah.
