He highlighted the city's achievement by stating, "Me enorgullece y me siento honrado de representar a la increíble @cityofhialeah en el Congreso, ¡y que es clasificada la segunda cuidad más segura de Florida!" The following day, on December 5, 2024, Díaz-Balart commented on international politics concerning Latin America. He stated that "The dictatorships in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua are weak and teetering." He further mentioned his belief that with another term for Trump as President of the United States and his team handling foreign policy and national security matters, these regimes would face significant challenges.
