The Congressional Hispanic Conference (CHC) has elected Congressman Tony Gonzales of Texas to serve as its Chairman for the 119th Congress. The CHC, established in 2003 by Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart from Florida, focuses on both domestic and foreign policy issues impacting the Hispanic community in the United States.

Rep. Mario Díaz-Balart expressed his honor in continuing as a member of the CHC, stating, "The growing number of Hispanic and minority Republicans in Congress proves that Americans reject the failed policies of the left." He emphasized the conference's commitment to defending constituents' values and advancing practical solutions.

Congressman Tony Gonzales highlighted the decisive support from Hispanic Americans for strong leadership. "Our voices helped build the Republican trifecta—our members are battle-tested common-sense legislators," he stated. Gonzales acknowledged Díaz-Balart's foundational role in establishing the CHC and expressed gratitude for serving as Chairman.

Congressman Carlos Giménez from Florida was elected Vice Chair of Community Outreach. He noted, "This year, the Congressional Hispanic Conference is larger than ever before with a historic number of Latino Republicans serving on Capitol Hill."

Newly elected Vice Chair of Policy, Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis from New York, remarked on increased political engagement among Hispanic Americans due to current policies' impacts. She stated that "Hispanic Americans are not single-issue voters and are leaning more conservative."

Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz from Texas became Vice Chair of Communications. She expressed her honor at being part of this leadership team and emphasized collaboration on policies that benefit communities.

Congressman Juan Ciscomani from Arizona took on the role of Vice Chair of Member Services. As a naturalized citizen representing Arizona at a federal level, he aims to highlight Hispanic voices and deliver tangible results.

California Congressman David Valadao affirmed his commitment to advocating for policies benefiting Hispanics beyond Central Valley through immigration reform and cost reduction efforts.

Florida Congresswoman María Elvira Salazar celebrated Hispanics' representation achievements within Congress while looking forward to collaborative policy work with her colleagues.

Lastly, Colorado Congressman Gabe Evans shared personal reflections on his family's contributions while expressing enthusiasm about working with fellow CHC members toward lowering inflation and enhancing public safety.

Many CHC members hold positions on influential congressional committees such as House Appropriations Committee, House Committee on Ways and Means, and House Energy and Commerce Committee.
