City of Homestead issued the following announcement on Sept. 22.
The City of Homestead launched its “Keep Homestead Beautiful” conservation and beautification initiative that encourages residents and visitors to take care of the community by picking up litter, cleaning graffiti, recycling, and choosing native plants and trees. Keep Homestead Beautiful is part of Homestead's commitment to the quality of life for residents both today and tomorrow.
City Officials are encouraging Homestead residents to get involved with the Keep Homestead Beautiful Initiative, by organizing neighborhood cleanups, volunteering to help elderly or disabled neighbors with their yardwork, following the City's posted solid waste pickup schedule, and reporting illegal dumping or unsafe neighborhood conditions to City of Homestead Code Compliance by calling 305-224-5580.
To kick off the initiative, City Staff will conduct two neighborhood cleanups in the City of Homestead’s Northwest area on Saturday, October 16, 2021. For more information on the Keep Homestead Beautiful initiative and how you can get involved, visit www.cityofhomestead.com/beautiful.
