First FY 2022-23 Proposed Budget hearing is Thursday

FY 2022-23 Proposed Budget hearings are scheduled to take place on Sept. 8 and 20 at 5 p.m. at the Stephen P. Clark Center.

Public budget hearings are a chance for residents to share their thoughts on the proposed county budget and to tell their elected officials why this budget matters to their community.

To participate as a public speaker, residents will need to sign-in at the visitor's desk, provide a picture ID, and fill out a speaker’s card. Speakers will be given 2 minutes to provide their unique public comments.

Transportation Accommodations

Public Transit - Miami-Dade Transit will extend Metrorail and Metromover service one hour after the end of the budget hearing. A northbound and southbound train will depart from Government Center Station should the hearing end after normal service hours (midnight).

Metrorail parking facilities also will remain open at least one hour after the last trains depart from Government Center Station.

Parking

The following garages will provide complimentary parking during the budget hearing:

  • Miami-Dade Cultural Center Parking Garage - 50 NW 2nd Avenue
  • Hickman Garage - 270 NW 2nd Street
  • West Lot Garage - 220 NW 3rd Street
Security

For your safety - Security screenings are mandatory for all public participants and County employees. Security will be setup at the entrance of the Stephen P. Clark Center lobby.

Food & Refreshments

The Bottega Grill Café located on the ground floor of the SPCC will remain open to the public until 9 p.m.
