On January 27, 2025, Díaz-Balart thanked President Biden for attending a significant political event. He stated: "Thank you, @POTUS, for joining us at the 2025 @HouseGOP Issues Conference in Doral, Florida."
The following day, January 28, he commented on former President Trump's negotiation skills. He remarked: "President Trump is a darn good negotiator. He’s shown it time and time again. I think that the issue here is very simple. If you’re an ally and you treat the United States like an ally — fairly — I think President Trump recognizes that."
Later on January 28, Díaz-Balart expressed his commitment to his role as chairman of a key subcommittee. He said: "I look forward to continuing as chairman of the NSRP Subcommittee that funds U.S. foreign policy and national priorities and working with Chairman Cole and my colleagues on upholding key U.S. values and priorities while saving taxpayer dollars and eliminating wasteful spending."
