Miami Dade County issued the following announcement on Aug. 18
Starting Wednesday, Sept. 1, Metrorail and Metrobus transfers will be free. However, the transfer fee for Metrobus and Metrorail to an express Metrobus route will remain 95 cents. Additionally, Special Transportation Services rides will remain the same at $2 per trip.
With the all-new $45 monthly parking pass fee, riders can purchase monthly parking without purchasing a monthly transit pass. This provides a valuable option for riders who may not commute daily and is more cost-effective than the daily $4.50 parking rate.
